I lived in Hollywood, CA for 5 years. This song is about the melting pot of cultures in California, specifically in Los Angeles. This is one of my most interesting songs because I wrote it while asleep...

In my dream, I was watching a movie which took place in Cali and this song was the soundtrack! I heard me playing and singing. When I woke, I picked up my guitar (which is never more than arm-reach away from me) and played and sang what I heard in the dream. I got out of bed, laid a drum track, then the bass, then the rhythm guitar, then the vocals, then the two solos.

My friend Johnny was there and laid a piano track to it as well. Everything, including the vocals and solos were done in one take. From waking up to having the recording you hear now, everything was done within an hour or so.
