Viewing lyrics for A Song (Called Life) by Bleach.

I had a dream, went a little something like this/
Boom, bap, snare and hats like a high tish/
Bass sounded a little too heavy for my stereo/
And the emcee dropped in a language I didn’t know/
Painful to hear his flow, some auto-tune shit/
Wish he upped his game sound like he bought him a new hit/
Club banger, fucking ear drum raper/
Probably some shit like bang bitches and make paper/
Coz that’s what gets spins on the charts right?/
Haven’t really been checking in since my past life/
But it’s safe to say the licks are probably lame/
And that synth based beat’ll fucking drive me insane/
And when the chorus wound down and I thought it was gone/
In come the cheesy shoutouts that went as long as the song/
By the time it was over felt like it’d gone all night/
In comes the DJ saying “that was a new song called Life”/

If life was a song it’d probably suck/
make every listener be like what the fuck/
I paid 15 dollars just to hear this lame shit/
and skip right down to the bottom of the playlist/
If life was a song it’d probably suck/
make every listener be like what the fuck/
I lost my last six minutes listening to this lame shit/
and skip right down on to the next playlist/

Shit got bumped on the charts, some underground hype/
And a cult following of fans and haters over night/
Online, got millions of plays and views/
But I stay confused at all the lame reviews/
Like “I like the content but can’t feel the delivery”/
And “I feel the flow but lyrics aint shit to me”/
If there was a point to this I must be missing it/
And I swear all these people listening to something different/
Coz some liked to dance to the track when it banged out/
And some lay down and drifted off as played out/
And they fade out, as it stays on/
And I heard that same song for the next week all day long/
It was everywhere, as a ringtone on every train ride/
And on every music channel from day to night/
On a movie sound track and got a remix with a rock band/
And got chopped to bits by every dj with a dog bag/
Heard it as background music on every drama on tv/
Until I forgot it even hard words with meaning/
That annoying ass tune stuck in the back of my brain and/
I could still hear it banging when it wasn’t even playing/
But all that stopped after a week, a one hit wonder/
Never heard it again after that summer/
Not one single play after that summer/
Except one time I remember…
That time it hit me, if you actually stop and listen/
There was something so profound in what was written/
Ain’t a one line track that fades in the night/
Something that you feel and stays with you for life/
Ain’t a simple message or lesson that it leaves/
But feeling of tasting humanity whenever you breathe/
And the thought of letting your own light dim the night/
Because the most beautiful thing in your life is your life/

If life was a song it’d probably suck/
make every listener be like what the fuck/
I paid 15 dollars just to hear this lame shit/
and skip right down to the bottom of the playlist/
If life was a song it’d probably suck/
make every listener be like what the fuck/
I lost my last six minutes listening to this lame shit/
and skip right down on to the next playlist/

If life was a song it’d probably suck/
Make six billion people be like what the fuck/
I spent 80 years trying to chase this shit/
and skip right down past the bottom of the playlist/
If life was a song it’d probably suck/
Make six billion people be like what the fuck/
I spent 80 years trying to chase this shit/
and skip right down past the bottom of the playlist/
