The Periphery

It seems so far away
Like the sun and it’s warmth at sunset
Then it goes black only to glimmer again
I don’t know if we can get there from here
And on this journey
Feel all alone more with age so it’s seems
The road curves so you can’t see the finish
Maybe it goes
Round and around in a circle again
I run – look for the finish
around the corner
Another stretch of baron highway lies ahead

Like the smile from the man on the moon
Offering comfort from misleading windey roads
Many see through its lies

I think the road goes around the middle
Safe in appearance
Devils swirl the mirage that you see
Just off the road the dust devil rages
Tumbleweeds follow
Dust devil shuffling from here and to there
Tumbleweed isn’t asked what it wants
Don’t know to ask
Existing not living and going nowhere
Loneliness is all that I know
But there is glory
Ugliness makes itself known in the end

A course set for acceptance and freedom
Lighting the future
Breaking the chains that have once held them back
I hope one day in the future
