She leads with her left foot as always, but never to run.
She does what she does, and no one the wiser may caution.
With elegant persuasion, she makes it all seem OK.
But deep down inside, the façade can’t and won’t stay that way.

And the King told me to stay away.
Said there was nothing for me to say.
So I packed my things and walked away.
For he was right all along…

She’s delightfully stubborn, and endearingly innocent with class.
And quick with a wit that always lands her the last laugh.
She follows no footsteps from others from years handed down.
But to the maze in her mind she can’t hide she’s eternally bound.

And the King told me to stay away.

For he was right all along.

And I see how it is.
This is how she lives.
I can’t ever change her mind.
For only lost love could try. That’s why I tried.
