Love me love me love me love me
( Verse )
You say you love me anyway
though you're going through your trials
you say you can take it night and day
but you walk around with a frown
patience where did you go wrong
you said you'd be mine until the end of time
wait on me i will see you through
you made a vow and now it's up to you
( Chorus )
Love me tomorrow love me tomorrow
love me tomorrow love me tomorrow
(Scat along with guitar solo )
( Repeat Verse )
You say you love me anyway
though you're going through your trials
you say you can take it night and day
but you walk around with a frown
patience where did you go wrong
you said you'd be mine until the end of time
wait on me i will see you through
you made a vow and now it's up to you
( Chorus )
Love me tomorrow love me tomorrow
love me tomorrow love me tomorrow
love me tomorrow love me tomorrow
love me tomorrow love me tomorrow
Sha da da da di sha da da da di da ah i
sha da da da di sha da da da di da i
( Rap )
You see i know you love me today
but will you love me tomorrow in the same way
when the hard times come the trials and tribulations
taking bitter with the sweet will you start to hate me
you see i know just how much you can bear
i wont put no more on you cause i really care
take your mind off defeat and keep your eye's on me
forget all your sorrows just love me tomorrow
love me tomorrow love me tomorrow

(STORY BEHIND THE SONG)
I wrote this song around 1985. If you don't know the story behind the song you might think that the song revolves around a love relationship between a man and a woman. However, it's dialog between God and a believer who has been going through difficult trials and they are seriously contemplating giving up because they've become indifferent towards God! They feel like he has abandoned them because of the trouble that they have been experiencing. The verse in the song is God talking to the believer and reminding them of their long life commitment to him when they gave their life to him at conversion. God is saying in the (Rap) part of the song, Don't just love me today, when things are going good in your life. But love me tomorrow when the storms and tribulations of life come your way to challenge your faith. When i wrote this song, i felt like God was actually talking through me at the time, and i knew a lot of people who were up and down in their relationship with God due to the troubles in their life. They say they love God today when life is easy - but they get upset with him tomorrow when life becomes hard! That's not real love... It's easy to love when things are panning out in our favor... But God wants us to love him with all of our heart, soul, mind and strength all the time! Including TOMORROW when things are bad!!!
