A short demonstration piece showing off my highly customized Schoenhut Concert Baby Grand toy piano. You can hear the changes in volume and brightness, all due to keyboard technique & the modifications to allow it. "Look Ma, no pedals!" ;-)

Here is what I did:

- Felted the hammers = velocity curves across octaves from soft to loud
-Two 2 1/2" holes cut in the right end of resonator lid (avoids flatted upper octave)
- Interior rear sound baffle glued to resonator lid & shimmed with foam (ditto above)
- Various other fixes as described in "The Race with Seven Senses"

Key slap sounds louder since the chimes can be payed softly, but the dynamic volume range and ability to hear the slow decay of the low-pitched chimes is worth it. I'm going to have fun with my "Not-A-Steinway"!
