It was like she always knew me, the first time that I saw the Muse's face/I was astounded by her laughter, the beauty of her smile and her grace/She stood out like a clear path through the haze/It's like she knew I'd seen much better days/She guided me on home

I was listless, sad and lonely, a punch drunk fighter who'd heard too many bells/A void and empty vessel, a story man with no new tale to tell/Then she reached right out and helped me clearly see/Someone out there could still believe in me/She guided me on home

We all need to find that place where we belong/A place to find our respite, some one to hear our song/No matter how far away I roam/This land will always be my home

It was like I'd always been there, enchanted by her gentle warm embrace/An end to my confusion, my wandering soul had finally found it's place/Each new face looked like a long lost friend/This leg of the journey reached it's end/I finally found my home
