Q: What type of acoustic guitars do Tom and Bob play? They sound great!
A: For our King-Sized Plan album, Bob played a Taylor 114CE while Tom played a Taylor 600 series; they both used an LR Baggs DI unit to go straight to the mixer. Since then they've relied on electric guitars: Bob uses an Ibanez Artcore semi-hollowbody copy of the Gibson 335 through a Line6 POD XT Live (for effects) and into an Egnator 30 watt amp. Tom mainly plays a Fender Telecaster, though he sometimes uses his Fender Strat or Taylor T5 depending on the event. He sends his signal through a collection of boutique pedals over to either his Fender Blues Deluxe or Twin Reverb amp.
