"The songs on Pureheart delve into..relationships between close friends, lovers, and family. (My Own Mars) captures a youthful playfulness. Called by name, each character is an alien to an outside world that chooses to take itself too seriously... Nefesh finds the magic in daily living."

Q: Your vocal tones are similar to James Taylor. Do you cover any of his work?

A: I do occasionally for friends in private settings, but not really in public performances--where I do largely original material. I do love covering some artists, and I grew up listening to JT, but I avoid covering him because the quality of our voices is so similar--it makes it harder for me to feel like I can impart something new or unique to the tune. Thanks for your question!
