Q: How do you go about writing a song?
A: Well usually it depends on my mood, but sometimes I play with melodies to differentiate my sound, from other artists, as much as possible; Fore instance, "Elusive Reality" was based primarily on several moods. I wanted something dark, yet elegant, and heavily upbeat. I've also dreamed about certain sounds too. Lyrically I make my best efforts to write poetically, and insert metaphors here, and there. Strategically, I maintain my best efforts, to not use as much profanity. Frankly, I only have two songs that consist of heavy use of degrading words. One of them which is meant to be playful, and the other which is a remix of one of my songs. However I've pondered for many years, and realized I should limit, or completely eliminate the use of such words, because of the audience. Personally, I feel as though it would make me seem as if I didn't have as much of a wide vocabulary. And I don't want to be apart of anything, that endorses not having any common courtesy. Besides we have to think of children, that listen to our content. Most of all, incorporating a positive message, and inspiring others, is what drives me to write songs. However my talents comes from a higher entity, Jah-Weh that is, not the other one.
