Steven Seay / Bio

Steven Michael Seay – Born in Riverside Ca but with-in a year moved to South Jersey. Steven was raised and forced by his Grandparents to take piano lessons when he was 5 till about 9 years old. Steven started playing drums at age 13 and picked up guitar at 14. He started writing songs at 16 and played in his first band then too. Later that year he went on to co-found a band called “The Green House Effect” which lasted a few years and had some notoriety among local circles in South Jersey. That band changed a few members later on and the name was changed to “No Pants” but the core remained the same. Around 2003 Steven left that band for some deep soul searching and found himself studying and playing Folk rock. Major influences are: Grateful Dead, Jim Croce, Dylan, Allman Brothers, Pink Floyd, Talking Heads, Violent Femmes…ect. But all Music to him is fascinating one way or another and he is always looking to hear new things! Steven plays a Fender Telecaster Custom through a Fender Frontman 212R. He uses MXR Distortion +, MXR Phase 100, and a DOD FX25 Envelope Filer pedals. ...........
