BlackBeatBlue is a 3 piece Rock Band from the Pacific Northwest who are really starting to create some buzz in Seattle WA. Their Hard Rock sound can be described as Raw, Grungy, and considered very Northwest and fresh. "Definitely a Seattle Sound, one I haven't heard before" says Jack Endino, producer of their first album and legendary producer & musician.
The band strove for a raw, edgy, live-based feel for the first record “Completely Different Animal.” The end result is a disc that has the classic vibe from the region (and what you might expect from an Endino-produced record) but also does an excellent job of bridging old to contemporary rock with spaced out guitars, metal driven bass riffs alongside heavy rock drumming fused throughout with a precise urgency.
Jack Endino sent the album to the famous Jolene of 99.9 KISW The Rock of Seattle and she states “After one listen I knew I wanted to feature you as BJ Shea’s Loud And Local Band Of The Week.” Jolene then entered BlackBeatBlue’s song “Darkness Falls” in KISW’s Loud And Local Cockfight where the song was undefeated for a week straight landing them a title in the KISW Cockfight Hall Of Fame in December 2012. Due to all the local success and buzz being created BlackBeatBlue was then offered to play 99.9 KISW’s Pain In The Grass 2013.
After being selected for 99.9 KISW’s Pain In The Grass, Cavigold Records has shown some serious interest in the band offering them a slot at Hempfest 2013 and through Cavigold Records - Seattle Music Television has also reached out to BlackBeatBlue wanting to feature them as their pilot episode to represent Seattle for their upcoming show on Seattle music.
The band is actively promoting their newly Released 12 track CD “Completely Different Animal” featuring photography by “Iron” Mike Savoia and unique artwork by Paul Ingram. BlackBeatBlue’s goals for the immediate future include continuing to play live shows in the greater Seattle area and Northwest region with an eye to reaching out and beyond.
