Killer Canary is a band invented by robots to save the whales. To that end, they play manic rock; whales love that shit. There is Zak, a drummer and singer. There is AC, a bassist. And finally, Mike and Erik, two lovable guitarists. Seattle seems like home to this four-piece that got their start in late 2008. My God, it's already been three years.
Their self-produced debut album I Am My Own Molecule softly sways between singable choruses driven by slightly chewy guitars, and all out drum pounding ear-canal-warfare™. Something like having an atomic bomb dropped on your head whilst some teary-eyed fixie-riding hipster kicks you in the crotch for calling his 1970 peugeot a schwinn. But in a good way.
