Kendrea is a poet, writer and multimedia journalist. She has released two albums of poetry and music, published a book, and her writing has been used for both stage and screen. Kendrea also uses her art to raise funds and awareness for many social justice causes. She holds a Master of Arts in New Media Journalism (2012) and is a freelance writer and video/ multimedia journalist. Born in Georgetown, Guyana, Kendrea is very inspired by her Caribbean roots and the culture of Brooklyn, NY where she grew up. Her poetry and visual art are reflections of her life experience from corporate success to the struggles of a starving artist.
