Founded in January of 2010, SE Minnesota based Copper Creek evolved out of friendship between members and a mutual love for bluegrass music. The band has been influenced by traditional bluegrass legends such as Bill Monroe and Jimmy Martin but is also inspired by more progressive bluegrass musicians such as Alison Krauss, Rhonda Vincent, and Ronnie Bowman. The members of Copper Creek are: Travis Nemechek on Mandolin and Vocals, Kari Rowe on Fiddle and Vocals, Alli Nemechek on Guitar and Vocals, Brian Rowe on Bass and Vocals and Hugh Stier on Banjo.
Copper Creek performs high-energy bluegrass (contemporary and traditional) as well as gospel music. Tight vocal harmonies are their most distinctive feature. They have played numerous venues throughout Minnesota, Iowa, South Dakota, Wisconsin, Illinois and Missouri including large music festivals, church functions, and corporate gatherings. Along side driving bluegrass instrumentations, Copper Creek adds sophisticated and melodic vocal arrangements that are an enjoyment to bluegrass fans as well as those who may be listening to bluegrass music for the first time. With witty comedy thrown in, Copper Creek is sure to entertain.
