Johnny Sunshine started his musical odyssey on the Gulf Coast of the Sunshine State - raised in the Tampa Bay Area. Johnny was playing guitar, writing and recording original tunes with the ocean breeze at his back and his toes in the sand.
In 1982, he moved to Atlanta to go to college where he and his classmates formed a jam band, Acid Cabbage. Mostly focused on original music and beer, the band played a few parties and explored the finer fringes of garage rock.
Leaving Atlanta in 1989 to start his day-job/career, Johnny has been working his way west ever since spending time in Huntsville, AL & Denver before landing in Austin, TX. Johnny fell into new media and digital audio production for computer games in Austin, but continued to jam and write music with co-workers and friends.
In January of 2005, Johnny answered Hawaii's call and enjoyed life on the Big Island in South Kona for the next 7 years - exploring the underwater realms and working its impact into his songwriting.
Johnny Sunshine appears on Dennis Gregory's latest CD, "Daybreak." Johnny plays lead guitar on several tracks using a Babicz Identity Series Jumbo acoustic and plays high-strung guitar parts on some tracks using a Wechter Nashville Elite. Please visit www.MaloloRecords.com and check out "Daybreak."
Johnny Sunshine is continues to write & record original rock tracks for release on Malolo Records.
Johnny also continues to work on original themes (acoustic, instrumental soundtracks) for a series of DVD's featuring his underwater footage of dolphins and whales.
