Light the Fire is a metal band hailing from Dallas, TX that made their debut in October of 2011. Their debut EP “Note To Self” quickly established the LTF as a new band to watch out for in the Texas/Oklahoma/Louisiana metal scene. The lead single off the EP of the same title, “Note To Self”, was quickly picked up and received regular airplay by Clear Channel radio stations 97.1 KEGL Dallas, TX and 99X Shreveport, LA earning them the title of “Locally Recommended Artist” from both radio stations.
In 2013, after establishing their presenece as a regional touring favorite Light The Fire looked to take it a the next level with their second EP “Light The Fire”. They chose to use 2 nationally accredited producers Eric Arena (A Day To Remember, All That Remains) and Geoff Rockwell (Forever the Sickest Kids, Memphis May Fire) to help guide the direction of their next offering. The band split their time between Zing Studios in Westfield, Massachussetts and Wavelight Studios in Fort Worth, TX. The release of the “Light The Fire” EP yielded the results LTF was aiming for and even helped earn a spot on the Ernie Ball Stage of the 2013 Vans Warped Tour Dallas date. The EP would also land LTF a song licensing deal with Tim Keeler at DIY records, a PR deal with Chip Ruggieri at Chipster PR, and music video for single “Forever Grateful” with Sam Link (Memphis May Fire, Sleeping With Sirens) of Collapse Studios .
2014 is looking to be a bright and pivotal year in Light The Fire’s career as a band.
