Its always a treat when good bands spawn good bands. For example, Nirvana and The Foo Fighters, or Jack White and well, everything he’s ever done. Same goes for Jon Schmidt and Will Tendy, still active members of the MTV/VH1/Capitol Records band Morningwood. Together they formed a new band AM To AM, with a sound that still carries the same rocking foundation that Morningwood boasts, but changes up the sound with harmonies, rhythm mastery and an electronic edge. Joined by Sarah Goldstone on keyboards, Zach Cooper on bass, and Lou Pomposello on guitar, they create a rock solid sound complimented by a delicate touch of scorching pop lines. The five-piece band plays in a progressive pop-rock style a la Elvis Costello with a heavy electronic influence. This is what defines AM To AM, which is not only the name of the band but also the title of their debut EP set to release on August 19th, followed by a party at Crash Mansion.
Having played in Morningwood on Jimmy Kimmell Live as well as MTV’s NewNowNext Awards, this band is used to being in the spotlight and they deserve it. AM to AM is not only a fun and fantastic debut EP but is also a relentlessly rocking band. Let me know if you want a copy of their release or a spot on the guest list for their show on Thursday August 19th at Crash Mansion. I can also send over some high res photos or let you have at them for an interview!
