A fitting name for the young rising Seattle artist who has already been recognized by local newspapers and radio plays. He was also the only nominated Hip Hop act to perform at the Vans WARPED TOUR 2011 (Seattle) on the Ernieball stage. SHORTE credits his love for writing lyrics and making feel good music for people of all demographics; to his humble beginnings. You could say that grinding so long has made SHORTE into a sharp independent artist and businessman with goals of building a successful empire as a singer, songwriter, MC, producer and performer.
SHORTE had few years working on his craft and released his first album, 'The Resume' in February 2011. This album generated a buzz that paved with more recognition within the local streams. The project as a whole was mostly street oriented It felt dark for a good portion with tracks that reign with thoughts of west coast supremacy to those that touch on tales of being a regular individual growing up in an urban environment. Appeal is needed among varied listeners and SHORTE delivered a few catchy street anthems as well as a few Pop/R&B radio crossover selections. The project showed SHORTE as an artist; showcasing his skill set in rapping and as a producer.
His latest EP, Fashionably Late, was released in June of 2011. Showed most of his production and writing skills. SHORTE considered this EP to be a very personal project focusing aspects of life, Known for being able to be up-tempo with his delivery SHORTE finds time to split styles and keep a normal moderate flow throughout.
SHORTE is no stranger to putting on a great live show. He has shared stages with the likes of Dorrough, Ying Yang Twins, Glasses Malone, Bone Thugs n Harmoney, Krizz Kaliko, Lil Flip and Jim Jones.
