In early 2007 the start of “My friends and I” was sparked when lead singer Daniel Scinocca began a solo project called “Dan Dee Lion” where he tinkered with emotionally motivated song ideas and chord progression. This vision branched off when he started getting together with Stevie Zita, and Chris Moniz for frequent jam sessions. Stevie’s awkward simplistic yet precise style of drumming and Chris’s modern indie style with technical roots meshed together extremely well with Daniels songs. As they got their few songs together, they exposed them to crowds of friends at open mics, and started to talk about recording their songs. They then joined the lunch time recording club at their high school, and did demos of “Feral Children” and “We’ll Lose Our Lungs”. Still lacking a bass player the band came into a cross roads with bassist “Brandon Medeiros” who shared same musical preference and style on bass as they did. The band was finally complete and started writing, practicing, and devoting more time to songs. Towards the end of the school year, the band was introduced to sound engineer and Producer “Taylor Martin” of Conception Studios. He immediately took interest in a partnership with the band realizing the level of commitment, and recorded a 9 song EP that extended all through the rest of the year. To this day “My Friends and I” goes hand in hand with Conception Studios. The band currently is raising awareness and building up a fan base.
