Whiskey Radio developed in 2009 as a recording project involving Drew De La O and Salvador Hernandez while attending Art school for Audio Production. Drawing from various genres with a common love of rock, blues, dynamics and audio production/recording.
Built around the guitar stylings of Drew and the drum beats of Salvador with depth and color added by the talented Ben O'Brien on keys. Whiskey Radio became a full fledged band in September of 2011 with the addition of former PANGEA member Aaron Spainhower on Bass.
Unfortunately in the month following thier debut album release Ben and Aaron had to depart for personal reasons. While this could have ended the band Salvador and Drew soldiered on and what was tragic has now become a blessing in disguise. With a leaner, more focused sound, the band is better and tighter than ever. The musical chemistry is undeniable.
With a sound ranging from stomp blues to straight ahead arena size rock and everything in between Whiskey Radio believes that in order to Rock you have to be able to Roll. Rock and Roll is not dead... it is alive and well and goes by the name Whiskey Radio.
