My first band was in Colorado Springs called 3rd Degree. We recorded and released one CD back in 2000. After that, me and Mike the bass player from 3rd Degree joined Don & J in Big Heater based in Colorado Springs and we played for 6-8 years in numerous places, including once at the Colorado State Fair, couple times at the El Paso County Fair and one time in a bar called the Lions Lair in Denver on East Colfax on a Wednesday night to 4 people and ALOT in Benny's on W. Colorado Ave in Colorado Springs to way more than 4 people, maybe 6 or 8 :). Big Heater recorded and released a 5 song CD called Home Made Jam in 2007, which is still available at iTunes. A few of those songs from that CD are here on my page, Shine & Bullet Proof. The songs Dream, Situation, & Satisfaction are Big Heater originals also that never made it to an official CD. The other two songs are my original instrumentals that may or may not get lyrics someday and alot more instrumentals to come, just have to get them done.
For the last 3 years I was the guitarist in a Black Sabbath/Ozzy Tribute band called We Sold Our Souls, here in Colorado Springs and we had played numerous shows. I then found out in February 2013 that I had a rare bone marrow cancer called Myelofibrosis. On October 15th,2013, I received a bone marrow transplant in Denver, Colorado that will hopefullly extend my life to an old man who rocks out on the guitar!
Right before I had the transplant, I was asked by a local artist in Colorado Springs to write the guitar parts and play them on his upcoming CD that will be out in June 2014. His name is Dan Howell, AKA "DragonTown Dan". Along with his original material, Dan also does a spot on Alice Cooper impersonation that he has toured with every now and then.
Now I am recording along with Dan, an EP for a Halloween Giveaway this fall of 2014. Plus I am working with the lead singer of We Sold Our Souls on some original songs that will become a new original band here in Colorado Springs next spring.
