By day, I'm a mild-mannered journalist, but nights and weekends I become (cue the heroic theme music) Music Man. Hope you dig "Steppin' Out in Pink," a song I wrote for the breast cancer awareness/fundraising walk of the same name. The song was recorded at Ghost in My House studio in Onalaska by Matt Olson (Brahman Shaman, Rearview Mirror), who not only recorded and mixed the track, he also pitched in drums, bass and a blazing lead guitar break. Tricia Aleckson, my former bandmate in Highway 16, provided vocals for the song for a video project for the fundraiser.
The rest of the recordings here are mostly B&B jobs (basement and bathroom) done on a four-track cassette recorder, with an occasional live recording thrown in.
In addition to Highway 16 (my latest band), I've played in the Troubadogs, Last Ditch Effort, The Proof, Stagefright and Mercury Joe and the Montclairs, as well as guesting with Checkered Past and Heavy Water.
