Wide Eye Panic - A band composed of five members that is best described as "MELODY MEETS NIGHTMARE". A dichotomy of musical genres making beauty and rage happen at the same time. WEP has been pushing their way through the Seattle music scene since 2003, leaving an overwhelming wake with their undeniable energy, melodic hooks and awesome stage presence. Through the years, WEP has persevered through many trying times from members changing, deaths of family and friends, to everything in between. Rather than allowing these events stifle their spirit, they have had the reverse effect, inspiring their music and shaping them into the band they are today—which boasts a solid line up of level headed musicians and professional individuals. The band consists of Aram Wheeler, who has stunned the music scene with his infectious vocals and lyrical content; Mark Mauer, a man that has placed a new name in the world of bass playing; Randy Bebich, with supreme skill for crushing riffs; Karl Penn, who adds color and ambiance to smooth it all over , making for an unstoppable guitar duo. Last but not least is Andrew Kuhn, who has become one of the most notable drummers in the Pacific Northwest. Together, they continue to turn heads in the professional music scene. Wide Eye Panic has shared the stage with Powerman 5000, Fair to Midland, Taproot, Periphery, Scale the Summit, Soil, Metal Church, Smile Empty Soul, Apex Theory, Manntis, (Hed)Pe, Vanilla Ice, and The Exies just to name a few. As of November 2009 WEP signed with Bieler Bros. Records (Skindred, Soil, Karnivool, Nonpoint, Uncrowned, etc.) Wide Eye Panic is a hard working band that continues to impress and take the world by storm. Never stopping and always improving with a momentum not to be trifled with.
In 2010 Wide Eye Panic won "Best Metal Band" in the 2nd Annual HotRocks Music Awards in Seattle, WA.
