In 1982, Florida punks THE ABUSERS evolved into the rock punk n soul influenced ROCK CITY ANGELS. By 1985 they headed to L.A. and signed with Geffen records. To add an element of 60's soul, the album was recorded at Ardent studios in Memphis TN, giving it an authentic, timeless quality. "Young Man's Blues" was released in 1988 and RCA toured the U.S. with Jimmy Page and Joan Jett, and in Japan, where the album went gold. Unfortunately the band broke up in 1993 when Geffen decided to not release a new disc. In 2008 "Use Once and Destroy", the first RCA disc in 20 years, was released. The band is currently on tour, and the disc and shows have received accolades from the press and public. It looks like the world is finally ready for them.
