Formed out of Sulphur, founding members Nicholas Woodley (Vocals, harmonica, guitar), Nick "paw paw" Boudreaux (Lead Guitar), and Jared Dartez(drums) have been writing and playing original music in the Lake Area, South East Louisiana, Texas, and all the way to Florida and South Carolina. With hymns such as "Southern Town" and "Good Times" there is no doubt that their influences run the gambit from Hank Jr. and Skynyrd to Tom Petty and Bob Dylan. After adding Lee Foreman, a bass player with strong blues and traditional country roots, and sensing the desire of their fans to hear more cover songs, they answered the call. After the lineup change and two successful shows at Cate Street Pub and Luna Bar and Grill in mid-December, the 94's made a statement at Bottom's Up, drawing one of the largest crowds to date at the bar. Their new and refined sound, a mixture of southern rock with blues bass lines and raw raspy vocals, is a direct about face to the over-produced, mass packaged sound coming out of Nashville today.
