Trepid / Bio

Trepid has been captivating audiences all over Northwest Louisiana, Southern Arkansas, Houston, Ft. Worth and Dallas, Tx. Trepid melds the styles of Alice in Chains, Metallica, Kiss, Black Sabbath, Godsmack, Heart and Halestorm. Fronted by Melissa Touchet, Trepid brings a powerful in your face sound you have to hear to believe. Melissa joined the band in February 2012 after original singer Lana Rothlisberger left the group to pursue other interests. Melissa brings a powerful vocal sound original to Trepid and is providing another unique chapter to the band. Melissa's energy and stage presence will leave you breathless. Trepid has now completed their fourth CD " Crushed Beneath The Wheels" featuring Melissa and is now available now on iTunes and CD Baby. It has a huge mix of styles that will have your heart pumping and head banging! We are now working on our 5th project that will be entitled "Encouraging Bad Behavior" so stay tuned! Brian Young is the classically trained guitarist who studied under Tony Bucci of The Lawrence Welk Show. David Gorman plays bass in the band. Brian and David have been friends since high school. Drummer Larry "The Man" Blevins rounds out the band . Larry is a beast! Trepid released its debut CD "Showdown at the Double D Ranch". "Showdown at the Double D Ranch" blends a huge love of all rock-n-roll music with the band members influences into an album full of thrills and surprises that will remind you of what's to come in our near future and what we lived through in the past. Trepid released their much anticipated sophomore release in January 2011 entitled "And They Call it Revolution". Songs off of Trepid’s second CD are consistently played on their local radio station’s 99X’s Homegrown Show. Released in November 2011 Trepid's "WTF" was in response to the hugely requested cover of Dolly Parton's "Jolene". WTF is an EP of their favorite and most requested cover songs. Trepid’s live show is a high energy event that will leave you begging for more and is not to be missed. Trepid has had the honor to share the stage with Halestorm, Adelita's Way, Black Tide, Straight Line Stitch, Taproot, Tom Keifer, Honky, Lillian Axe and numerous other regional and local acts. Winner of Best Rock Band and Best Female Rock Vocalist Maxima Distorzion Awards Jan. 7th, 2012.
