Lyn English has been playing professionally since his early teens. He moved to Europe in his early twenties and has played and recorded with bands in Europe and the United States. Moving back to the US, Lyn played in a variety of rock bands and now calls Austin home.
Jesse Redman - Lead Guitar - Vocals
Jesse Redman started playing guitar at age 14 and within three months of starting guitar, he was playing paying gigs.
He played in bands, duos, trios and as a single musician throughout the Texas Panhandle, Western Oklahoma, Southern Kansas and the Colorado and New Mexico ski resorts.
Jesse arrived on the Dallas music scene at the age of 21. He was already an accomplished guitar player and vocalist having played many gigs and well on his way to developing a unique style with both his guitar playing and his vocals. Jesse played in several bands along the way, including playing lead guitar in a group comprised of several former members of the Johnny Winter Band.
In Dallas, he played in several different groups and as a single musician, garnering the following of many fans and music venues. He was a regular at Dallas’ most popular Rock And Roll showcases.
Later moving to Austin, he continued to progress his own style which has been described by the Dallas Times Herald as "The Beatles Meet Jimi Hendrix". His music includes a unique blend of harmonies and guitar solos that pleases audiences of all ages and takes everyone back to the days of concert Rock And Roll.
As a side note: While playing music in several groups Jesse co-filed 67 patents. To date has received nineteen patents on technology ranging from unmanned aerial vehicles to search engine and browser enhancements. He was also a co-founder of the Austin Inventor’s and Entrepreneurs Association (AIEA) and its first president.
Jesse plays classic Rock and Roll, with his rendition of hits from such groups as:
Crosby. Stills, Nash & Young, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Box Tops, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeplin, Jim Croce, War, Eric Clapton, Pink Floyd, Loggins & Messina, Dan Fogelberg, James Taylor, Jackson Browne, Moody Blues, The Eagles, Doors, Phil Collins, and many others.
Jesse’s music is classic rock from the 60's through the 70's with a few newer songs and a few originals. He "musically owns" every song he does so each song is his unique version of the original. He plays quite a few songs that may only be heard in concert and that other groups don't play because the vocals are difficult to do. Songs like "Another Brick In The Wall" by Pink Floyd or “Cost of Freedom/Ohio”, by CSN&Y or “Lady Madonna”, by the Beatles.
Jesse makes his own backing tracks that he uses when he plays as a single. He plays drums, keyboards, bass, etc. so all of the backing music was originally played by him. He plays at some places that typically only book bands. He also uses equipment that is normally used in large concerts or recording studios, like a guitar synthesizer and a vocal harmonizer to do live four part harmony. The results tend to make audiences do second takes in disbelief that he can produce the live music that he does.
He usually opens up with an hour and a half acoustic set which includes four part harmonies. The rest of his sets he plays songs typically done by a full band. Like the Eagles and Jimi Hendrix. He gets a great response from all age groups, from teenagers to adults. Many of the responses are amazement that he can produce the sound that he does and these compliments come from both musicians and regular listeners.
Jesse consistently brings patrons back to hear him play again and again. And because his music is very listenable, people tend to stay longer and enjoy several of his musical sets. He makes new fans every time and everywhere he plays.
