The Wiyos seamlessly meld new with the old. Their 2009 release Broken Land Bell fused New Orleans based rhythms with tripped out electric harmonica and human beat-box. The album landed the band a 28-day run as the openers for The Bob Dylan show. In 2011 the band continues to expand, laying their vintage writing over pop, rock and subtle hip-hop frameworks. Their much anticipated theme album (loosely based on The Wizard of Oz) is slated for a fall 2011 release. Preview performances have already been met with rave reviews from the UK to Chicago.
