HEAL THE LAST STAND, from Wrexham, North Wales, U.K. Since 2007.
From a small town with a thriving music scene, HEAL THE LAST STAND sing about mankind’s fundamental desire for peace and understanding. Influenced by 60/70’s west coast Folk/Americana, these counter-culture aficionados echo the deep sentiments of the Summer of Love, with an ocean of harmony like Crosby, Stills & Nash meets First Aid Kit. Heal’s wide appeal is attributed to their uplifting lyrical content which once esoteric, is now at the forefront of contemporary opinion, shining much needed light on the theory that there’s more to life, and Wrexham, than meets the eye.
Heal are three siblings and a close friend, four strong vocalists demonstrating effortless harmonic ability, accompanying themselves with piano and acoustic guitars. Heal are currently recording a full studio album, set for release in Spring 2014, which will feature additional musicians including for the first time, a rhythm section.
Headliners at this year’s Focus Wales Music Conference and Small World Stage at Glastonbury Festival.
Heal recently released a single ‘The Gathering’ (September 2013), which was play-listed on BBC Radio Wales.
BBC Radio Wales ‘Artist of the Week’ 16-20 Sept 2013.
Performed at Wales’ premier music conference and festival, SWN 2013
“They dish out a cerebral dose of four-part harmony folk. Each number is laden with a groove that manages to be complex, full-bodied and complete with nice and sleazy rhythms played out on an Elton John piano.”
