Born out of the vibrant Colorado bluegrass scene, what started as a few jam sessions has grown into a highly polished five-member ensemble gathering new bluegrass aficionado fans with every step along the road.
LOOSE CANNON BLUEGRASS blazes through an astonishing potpourri of exhilarating original tunes, traditional bluegrass standards, instrument barn-burners and cleverly eclectic covers. With all members singing both lead and harmony vocals, the band skillfully creates sparkling tones and textures galore, ingenious and inventive at every turn.
Among its many Triumphs, LOOSE CANNON BLUEGRASS was selected by the Colorado Bluegrass Music Society to represent Colorado at the International Bluegrass Music Museum’s “River of Music Party” in Owensboro, Kentucky in 2011 as part of the 100th birthday celebration of the father of bluegrass, Bill Monroe. The band also played to a sold out venue at Swallow Hill in Denver for its debut CD release concert in 2010. Deservedly so! This is high spirited bluegrass at its best.
