Americana Singer/Songwriter, raised in Mount Gilead, Ohio, USA. He was strongly influenced by Tradional Country, 50's Rock&Roll, Rockabilly and 60's Folk, and Contemporary Alternative Styles.
UNDERGROUND NASHVILLE SAYS ~ like Kristofferson's early works, his songs are not contrived, not slick, or divorced from the painful and beautiful world he sees around him.
His more recent works arise from one of the most painful and frightening experiences a human being can have: a battle with cancer. In his liner notes for "The Poet" he says; "After winning a battle with cancer in January of 2010, I began to evaluate my life. I looked at what I have done, what I have not done, and what I needed to do. Much of that conversation with myself shows up in my songs.”
The conversation must have brought him closer to what mattered to him most— a desire to express a spectrum of emotion and feelings through his words and stories. Like an ardent street minstrel, he catches your eye, and makes you feel it’s important—very, very important—to listen.
