Formed circa 1986 in the black heart of Los Angeles, DEMOLITION roared to life onto the backyard of club circuit gigs across southern California. Conceived by lead guitarist Alan Munoz to be an aggressive, fast, and heavy musical entity the band has since been transmutated through time-lapses and a few incarnations into the five piece congregation it is today.
Releasing two demos The Dominion in 1990 and When the Tomb Beckons in 1992, DEMOLITION built a solid and loyal following locally and throughout the international underground scene while also sharing the stage on bills with The Lights of Death, Morbid Angel, Autopsy, and Cannibal Corpse.
After contributing three songs to the well-received “The Heralds of Oblivion” compilation, the band toured Mexico successfully, but disbanded shortly thereafter. Now in 2012, lured by the cold call of doom, DEMOLITION has reformed and returned at last with a full length CD titled Epochal Upheaval out now on Poor Kids Records.
