I am a Heavy Metal / Hard Rock Singer & Songwriter / Artist (Lorrie Clark).
I grew up in a small town in Simcoe County, the city of Peterborough On. CA. I started out my formative years singing in school choirs and in church. I tried out for my public school's choir and won a spot. Our singing mentor/teacher was Miss. Prior. I also sang in my brother-in-laws band in the early years. --Practiced in the basement at Ferguson Cleaners in Peterborough. We played the old songs from, Heart, Neil Young, Fleetwood Mac, Rolling Stones etc.
Later, I moved to Victoria and went on to form the band, “Mind Over Matter”. We went on to record our first CD in 1995 which caught the attention of the media, most notably; Stephen King (Author/Novelist), Chex T.V (Victoria B.C), Media Magic (Victoria B.C), as well as; Cargo Records who distributed our CD Internationally.
It was an exciting time! A few of our fans from Germany came out to meet MOM and myself. They listened to a session while we practiced our songs. Later that year MOM split up due to irreconcilable differences as so many young/bands do.
Next, I went on to form the band “Metasis” along with two new members and two former members from the band, “Mind Over Matter”. "Metasis" did go on to record a few songs however; it all came to an abrupt end a bit less than a year later, when the two new members decided to pack it in, determined a year was long enough, and moved to Port Alberni B.C.
Brings us to the today's date -- I am putting together and developing my songs with my new band (reigHn -R will be inverted in design). They are a talented group of guys committed to this new project. My band is writing the music for some of my melodies that I have developed in the past years as well as new ones. It won’t be long until we will be recording and releasing/debuting our new songs !
