Stu'z Blu'z / Bio

I was born a bastard son, on the day Apollo 1
burned, and killed the crew. It’s been down hill from
there.
On January 27, 1967, astronauts Gus
Grissom, Ed White and Roger Chaffee were burned
to death during a test in which a cockpit fire was
being inadvertently fed by pure oxygen. (My ex-wife
was born the day astronauts stepped on the Moon in
triumph. Go figure.)
Elsewhere on the continent, in Charleston,
South Carolina, a mean, selfish woman was bearing
the pain of shitting out a testament to her lifestyle. I
know very few details of her romance with the sailor
who donated the sperm, but his name is allegedly
W****** Leslie K***** Jr. (The asterisks have been
added to protect the guilty.) I have tried several times
to contact him, each ending with a hang-up. All that I
know has been gleaned from the internet and a few
sparse details that my birth mother told me. I was
appalled to find out he is from Minnesota and is a
Yankee, given my former penchant for things
Confederate. (My first name represents J.E.B. Stuart,
the famed cavalry general of the C.S.A. --But then
again my biological mother named her dog after
Beauregard, so should I be flattered?)

The strange thing about the whole situation
was that my maternal grandparents adopted me and
played it off like whats-her-face was my “sister”. I
was raised to believe that I was a late in life
“accident”, which probably was not the best plan to
preserve my self esteem. Back in that day unmarried
pregnant women were considered a “disgrace”, so
the whole charade was over pride of life. The Bible
says pride of life is a big stinky sin, by the way, and
probably worse on the scale than knocked up
teenagers. My "dad" (granddad) always referred to
me as "You little bastard" which I took in a generic
sense, but found out much later it was meant
literally.
I can remember when I was like 10-- my real
mom took her family (she had married another dude
and had another child who I thought was my niece)
to Disney world. My grandma "mom" offered to pay
her to take me too. I was all excited. She stood me
up. Blues makes me feel better...
DON'T GO BY THAT "SOUNDS LIKE"! I HADDA PUT SOMETHING? Just lil ole me
