David Langley - Nashville TN
Starting at the young age of 9 years old, I learned to play guitar. This was the beginning of my life long love and desire for music.
Life was simple on the ranch as a child. But, as I watched what cancer slowly did to my mother, until her untimely death, I found myself drawn closer and closer to my guitar and music. I quickly learned a musician's way of life by playing night clubs in my hometown, surrounding areas, and on the road. I am still doing this as a living today.
Music has taken me on many paths. While in Bakersfield, CA in 1998, I met one of my heroes - Mr. Buck Owens. Buck and I struck u p a friendship which led to us recording a duet of one of Buck's biggest hits - "Excuse me, I think I have a heartache". I am so humbled to join the ranks of only a handful of other artists (such as Ringo Starr, Brad Paisley and Dwight), that can claim the honor of a record with Buck Owens. It was also an honor and thrill to be a fill in "Buckaroo" with Buck at the Buck Owens Crystal Palace.
Additionally, I've had the pleasure of opening shows for so many great acts. I have also played guitar for many artists such as: Ty Herndon, Ray Price, Jeannie C. Riley, Irene Mandrell and many more.
In 2009, I was hired by Mr. Ray Price as a member of "The Cherokee Cowboys" and I was on the road with Ray and Willie Nelson.
For the last five years to date, I have been living in Nashville, TN. Currently, I am off road due to working on some new CD projects with many songwriters here in Nashville - including my friend, Mr. Royce Porter. Royce has penned numerous hits for so many great artists such as: George Strait, Keith Whitley, and Reba.
In addition to working on new CD projects, I am a regular performer at many Night Clubs, Honky Tonks, and Venue's here in Nashville.
I have an acoustic show, every Wednesday and Thursday nights, at the Millennium Maxwell House in Nashville. This is the very place where President Roosevelt coined that well know phrase "Good to the last drop" about Maxwell House coffee.
I also have a full band, we play Hard Country, Classic Rock and Blues. If it's got a cryin' or screamin' guitar part in it, we do it!
I proudly have endorsements from two great guitar companies: Welch Guitars from North Carolina, and Mullenhauer Guitars from California.
Networking and making a living performing in Nashville is exciting!! Every day, I get to meet someone in the industry, whether it's business or other artists, and performing in Nashville provides the opportunity to meet people from all over the world. I am so proud to sell my CD's and music to the Country music fans world wide who visit Nashville!
