A "gumbo-type" mix of roots, country-rock, blues and folk. If you had to "label" his music, you might be reminded of Bonnie Raitt, Jackson Browne, Lucinda Williams or Little Feat with some Don Henley and Miles Davis thrown in.
As Steve splits his time between Toronto and Niagara-On-The-Lake, he has been dubiously dubbed the "fringe local". These days, every Friday night you can find him performing at the Old Winery Restaurant in NOTL with his band the Old Wino and every Saturday night with Niagara Rhythm Section and thier weekly special guests. The rest of the time he's busy with other freelance gigs and studio work. The personnel has settled into a "collective" of players which varies slightly from gig to gig. The arrangements vary from night to night, exuding a fresh "jam-band" adventure with each show.
