Kelly Ballard was born in Lawrenceville, GA, and grew up in Loganville, GA. Kelly is currently serving in the Army National Guard as a Military Police Officer. She was deployed to Iraq from 2007-2008. She truly has a heart for her military family. In 2012 Kelly performed with many local artist from Georgia and won the title of Today's Country Idol 2012 with WYNR 102.5 out of Brunswick, Ga. She has recently shared the stage with The LACS, Lenny Cooper, Twang & Round, Big Smo, Cody McCarver and LoCash Cowboys. Now calling Glennville, GA her home, Kelly Ballard is a wonderful and fresh talent in the world of Country music. She has a powerful yet sometimes raspy voice. She sings with character and sexiness that just hooks you into the song. Her first single "When You Go" created quite a buzz both nationally and internationally. Her follow up singles "Murder Creek" and "Tomboy", released in July 9, 2012, have an edgy rockin' country beat that are a true testament to the versatility of this artist. Kelly recently wrote the song "All You Need To Be" about her mothers fight with Leukemia, and how she was her "rock" emotionally. As an up and coming Country artist she is surely in the ranks with some of Nashville's best female Country artists. Kelly was also nominated for 2013 Best Female Country Artist and 2013 Best Music Video for the Georgia Music Awards being held at The Buckhead Theater June 8, 2013 in Atlanta, Ga. Last but not least Kelly was nominated for 2013 Best Female Country Artist of the Year for the Georgia Country Music Awards.
