I started playing the guitar when I was 10. Had my first gigging band at age 15 and have been playing in bar bands since I was 18 years old. 37 years of playing live experience. I cut my teeth on and the classic rock and country bands of the 70's. Skynyrd -Areosmith -Haggard -Willie Nelson etc... I was playing six nights a week when I was 21. I got into blues in the early eighties and have playing blues live since 1997. From 1997 till 2006 my band was called THE LEVYBREAKERS. We played the Springfield area every weekend. I have played in just about every live music venue in the area. I have opened for national acts such as Eddie Turner and Walter Trout. My current band The Mike Shasha Band has been together for three years. We do not play one style or type of blues. Our set list is made up of all kinds of blues and no two songs are alike. Every set we play is different from the one before. We play Hendrix and Stevie Ray blues -Shuffle blues -Jazzy blues-Delta blues and down home Gut Bucket blues. Most of our songs are original and are different from anything you've heard before. We live to play we play to live and we always aim to please. Check us out- nuff said.
