Music in their hearts, minds and souls best describes the team behind Oblio And Arrow.
Created by Matthew Kopecky in 2008, the Chicago native writes, records and has conceived what is the " Oblio And Arrow " project. That which is, music from the heart, an outlet of sincerity, something that covers an array of feelings but overall generates a feeling of warmth.
Oblio And Arrow pulls from their vast library of influences and idols to create a sound that can best be described as being at its core, singer song writer rock 'n' roll with heavy layers of percussion and experimental backdrops behind catchy hooks that are often sung by a small chorus of voices.
Releasing their debut album "Thank God For Photons" in late 2011 and currently preparing for the release of their latest work, entitled "Steps", while in the meantime releasing a separate e.p "Summer Triangle", some music videos and playing in and around the Chicago land area throughout 2012, Oblio And Arrow have been able to maintain an "in house" and 'DYI' atmosphere and work ethic. They've been fortunate to be able to draw from many great friends, family and collaborators made along the way. Most notably, Michael Krieglstein, Adam Kopecky, Matt Opal, Brian Whitebread and Zach Biggus.
The group is currently in the lab continuing to write and prepare for the release of their upcoming album "Steps". The ever evolving live arrangement of Oblio And Arrow will be ready to hit a stage near you in the next few months with their brand new album!
