Alisa Jefferson has always been very passionate about the music she creates and delivers as a singer and bass player. She grew up in Kansas City listening to mostly '80s rock/pop and '90s alternative rock.
She played viola in orchestra throughout school and took a great interest in guitar at the age of 13. Growing up, her parents would often find her in front of a record player singing to whatever album she could get her hands on.
She put together what would be her first original band in the mid '90s as the singer and bass player for Morning Fix. The band played many venues throughout Kansas and Missouri and recorded a demo. The band reformed in January 2014 and is currently writing new material.
Her all time favorite bands are Journey and Pat Benatar. She has a wide range of influences including but not limited to other greats as:
Heart, REO Speedwagon, Billy Squier, Styx, Shooting Star, Yes, The Pretenders, Eurythmics, Stevie Nicks, Madonna, Joan Jett, Johnette Napolitano of Concrete Blonde from the '90's to Foo Fighters and Silversun Pickups to Bruno Mars in most recent years.
Over the past several years she has been writing many songs and collaborating with other musicians on various projects singing leads, harmonies and playing bass. She has been writing and self-recording several original songs.
She enjoys recreating her youth in performing music she grew up listening to. She has worked with various cover bands as a lead singer performing her personal favorite genre including '80s music. She is the lead singer for The M80s in KC.
