Kahos is a hip hop artist that hails from Dallas, Tx. Raised in the Kiest and Polk area; he grew up as the oldest of 3 boys. Music has always been a part of his life since a young age where he used to mimic the songs of Michael Jackson, Run DMC, LL Cool J and the Fat Boys. He began his journey into rap music in high school after being captivated by the motivational songs of Outkast, the everyday street tales of Scarface and the southern staples UGK. He has been influenced by many different artists from all over, with the most influential ones being Jay Z, Tupac, Mystikal, Talib Kweli and E40. His entrepreneurial influences include Diddy, Master P, Russell Simmons and Barry Gordy. After failed attempts to get any attention in the game he focused his attentions on school and sports. After meeting a few childhood friends thru his younger brother he had a renewed interest in music when they linked up with local Savaged Out Records. After a falling out and the misfortune of the lock up of his brother Kahos split from the label. He enlisted into the Army where he met another soldier and engineer from Miami named Nick Gauge. They began their mission together to reemerge their love for hip-hop. They began an assault of countless studio sessions and tireless hours of recording. Upon being forced to deploy to Iraq and serve the nation at war they were forced to put things on hold for a while. Six months later after a chance to regroup they ran into another young hungry MC from Akron, Ohio by the name of Wallace. That was just the spark he needed to rekindle the love for hip-hop he’s always had. They hit it off quickly and have gone on to record numerous songs together with plans on recording an album together as a duo under the name S.O.S.
Throughout his years of recording since being in and prior to the Army he has come across and recorded with many different artists from all over the U.S.A. i.e. New York, New Jersey, Philly, Georgia, Indiana, Louisiana , Texas and Florida just to name a few. His most frequent collaborators hail from Ohio, South Carolina and Tennessee. As of today he has released two mix tapes with a third in the works. Also his lifelong studio album is 2/3 of the way completed with the S.O.S. group album still in the beginning stages of creation. His ultimate goal is to one day find himself succeeding in the music game and to claim a spot as a superior and well respected artist. His dedication to his craft and unsettling devotion to lyrics will forever ring out.
