Taliesin's Shadow began in April, 2006 when the guitarist for Deviator, Troy L. Coots, discovered music production programs such as Fruity Loops, Acid Pro, Pro Tools, and Guitar Pro. He writes, records, and engineers all songs flying solo. No genre can pinpoint the sounds as they range from hip hop, techno, Celtic, prog metal, jazz, synthphonic, industrial, and even new age. All instruments not found in the sound banks are home made or guitar with effects. All songs are considered Sketches, not actual finished productions so they change on occasion. This project has been sustained as a Sketchbook of song ideas, and while a few are complete and mixed, the rest is, well, a bunch of bull as, once again, they are sketches to be played and/or rehashed in a live band setting.
