Blizzard's first studio album, "The Puppet's Lament", explores the birth, death and resurrection of the human spirit.
Blizzard, a masked puppet who mysteriously appears in an old work shed, asks his maker to grant him the gift of healing. Using this gift to help others, Blizzard soon discovers that his own soul becomes tormented by the accumulation of pain he has collected. Possessed by the demons of others, Blizzard discovers that he can release his torment in the form of music.
The ten songs featured on Blizzard's album, "The Puppet's Lament", represent ten areas of human sorrow: Injustice, Regret, Recklessness, Intolerance, Havoc, Abandonment, loneliness, Sexism, Poverty and Faithlessness.
Created by Canadian artist, Victor Von Blizzard, the story of Blizzard is based on the real life struggles that millions of people face every day. Departing from the usual musical themes that dominate dance music, (sex, parties, cars, and money); Blizzard's eccentric music style breaks most rules and invigorates a tradition where political awareness is not alien on the dance floor.
