The Shelter Dogs / Bio

The Shelter Dogs were created one dark and stormy night in the Fall of 2010 by Guitarist/Singer Pete Bullard (Michael May Band, Wixom Slim, The Terraplanes) and Bassist/Singer Todd Perkins (Blue Front Persuaders, Big Dave & The Ultrasonics, Michael Katon Band) as a way to explore their shared love of Old-School Swing, Blues, Lounge and Rockabilly music. A few months later, Drummer and Vocalist Tom Twiss (Al Hill, The Martindales, The Prodigals) was drafted into the band, opening the group up into a trio. In the short time since their beginnings, The Shelter Dogs have received a good deal of critical acclaim and audiences are happily enjoying the groove! The Dogs have one CD, "American Classic", and are now working on the next album while playing shows around the Midwest.
