Good As Gone is an Americana/country band based in Austin, Texas. Known for their strong, tight vocals and killer harmonies, the band's vocals have been described as "perfect."
After meeting and singing in an 80's cover band in Austin, the duo decided to start doing music they loved. "Good As Gone" music is an unique brand of original music and cover tunes: country with an edge, pitch perfect harmony and power vocals, a new take on an old sound. "Class With Sass!"

Good As Gone has made a big splash in the music scene in and around Austin, from their debut to now, they have performed at Kick Butt Coffee, Cherrywood, Tiniest Bar in Texas, Headhunters, Backroads, J5 steakhouse in Spicewood, and an acoustic showcase for SXSW at 7th Street station as well as Betsy's bar on 6th street for SXSW. They now do a regular appearance at Teresa's Stocktank in Liberty Hill on the third Saturday of the month.

Both members of the band have experience in shows, bands and clubs, with Alexa's background in theatre and cover bands, and LeighAnn's extensive songwriting, production and performing experience.

LeighAnn started singing professionally at age 16. Alexa started singing and playing piano in her hometown baptist church, and learned harmony while singing those old hymns. While LeighAnn was listening to Led Zeppelin and Jimi Hendrix as a child, Alexa was listening to Dolly Parton and Johnny Cash. They have combined those influences to reflect a modern take on an old sound, with great harmonies, introspective lyrics and catchy country hooks.

LeighAnn is a prolific songwriter and often writes music in the jam room with lyric help from Alexa. She also wrote and produced the song "Flying With the Falcon," and donated the song and its' proceeds to a wild animal conservancy. She has written over 90 songs of pretty much every genre and has had her songs published, covered by other bands, reviewed by international publications, music publications, internet and local newspapers. Alexa has a unique experience set including theatre, web design, piano playing, promotion and management.

Spring 2012 finds Good As Gone recording their first CD together. It promises to be as unique as the girls themselves and will be released mid to late summer.

When they are not performing, Alexa likes to run and do web designs and Cross-fit. LeighAnn is currently learning how to play her recently inherited vintage 1908 mandolin. She also enjoys grant writing for local and national charities for the arts. They both keep very busy gigging around the central Texas area.
