Somewhere beyond the familiar, a story is born. A story, not told through words but through melodic compositions, that stirs and shudders the imagination. A setting is painted with a percussive backbone, while haunting choirs mixed with dramatic violins tell tantalizing tales of sadness, offset with hope and triumph.
My own story begins in Brighton, Colorado. As the youngest in my family, I had the opportunity to learn music from my siblings as well as being professionally taught. I started with piano when I was very young, and have sustained (no pun intended) it as my main instrument. In addition to the education I received on the piano, I am also self taught on numerous instruments. This has allowed me to apply determination and experimentation, which have both been valuable tools in my journey. The knowledge I have gained through many years of studying music is greatly utilized in the compositions that I create. I take inspiration from the honored classics, as well as from current artists, while not being genre specific. If it’s music, I will learn something from it!
Since I was a child I’ve been an artist, musical and otherwise. I have always been compelled to make art, and to this day I live, eat, breathe, and sleep music (lucky for my wife, I’m not a drummer!). These are the things, weaved within my music, that leave the listener with an impression. This is my true goal, to reach my audience.
And with another haunting lullaby, the story continues…
