Lethanon grew up in COndobolin, NSW, loving the bush life of rivers and billabongs as a townie in a family of musicians. Fed on a diet of Clannad, Enya, Simon and Garfunkel, Don McLean and other such 70s notaries, Lethanon found herself obsessed with the likes of Roxette and Gyan and soon became a songwriting nightmare.
At age 16 the world started to feel a little small, so Lethanon took off for the icy plateaus of Finland and the viking city of Rauma, where she immersed herself fully in the Land of Choirs and Kalevala.
The Land of Choirs inspired Lethanon to pursue music as a career, and Lethanon embaked on a BA Contemporary Music(composition) / BA Education (secondary) from Southern Cross University.
Lethanon now lives in Darwin as a Choral/Voice teacher, and combines her love of Australian folk, Finnish storytelling and Celtic other-worldliness in a strange mix all her own.
