Treble lifter was born on the icy waters of the northern Atlantic. Hendrik was a deckhand on the Dutch fishing boat “Bliksem.” While at port in the Icelandic town of Hafnarfjörður Hendrik met a local percussionist named Mike. Hendrik abandonded his duties on the Bliksem and began to play songs with Mike full time with dreams of one day reaching America. Through match.com they met an all-American named Jeff because of their mutual affinity for Mexican food and music. Jeff cleared out his 401(k) and paid for plane tickets to bring his Icelandic friends to the states. To celebrate their safe arrival a dinner was held at Olive Garden. A young boy named Tom was their waiter. They were so impressed with his ability to keep their drinks refilled they made a request to purchase Tom from his supervisor. They took out loans to purchase equipment and began to spend hours watching commercials on American television. They played together for 15 minutes everyday writing songs. From that point forward and through today Treble Lifter has been a band committed to quality.
