Facing an uphill battle for acceptance in the American music scene, The debut album from ZERO 1, produced by dUg Pinnick of King’s X, surprised critics and rock fans alike with powerful songwriting, Heavy riffs and earworm melodies. Songs like She Waits, Mad Season and Helsinki, established Sparks as a legit powerhouse singer and musician.

Hal Sparks and ZERO 1 have a unique approach to fan outreach and viral marketing; by streaming live rehearsals and recording sessions as well as shows on Hal’s wildly popular, weekly UStream show, fans across the globe are getting a glimpse of the band they wouldn’t normally get. Through traditional outlets like Twitter, Facebook and MySpace, the band cements their social networking. But in 2013, the band is set to take it to new heights with relationships with UStream.tv, Honda motorcycles, Steaz energy drinks, and Alpine Stars.
The band loans its music, name and live performances to causes it believes in like the Marijuana Policy Project, Farm Sanctuary, the Lilli Claire Foundation and Imagine a Cure.
